Our address is: 4581 Wilson Ave.
That's in the NDG (Notre-Dame-de-Grace) neighbourhood of Montreal,
just south of Somerled. The closest metro stops are Villa-Maria and
Snowdon, both a 12-15 minute walk. Here's a map:
If you come by car/bike/taxi, that should be enough to get you here. Or
if you prefer to travel by BMW (bus/metro/walking) ...
By public transit
If you like a pleasant walk:
- take the orange line to Villa-Maria
- walk west on Monkland Ave (cross Decarie Expressway)
about 7-8 blocks to Wilson
- walk north (right) 1½ long blocks to #4581
Alternately:
- take the orange (or blue) line to Snowdon
- walk west on Queen Mary Road (cross Decarie Expressway) about
9 blocks to Stratford Ave
- walk south (left) one block to Cote-St-Luc Road; cross it,
and continue another 1½ blocks along Wilson Ave
- look for #4581
If the weather outside is frightful, or you're feeling lazy:
- take the orange line to Vendôme
- hop on the 102 bus west (it generally comes every half-hour on the
half-hour, ie. 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, ... -- but check
the schedule
(or 520-4263) to be sure
- the bus goes up Girouard, briefly turns onto Cote-St-Luc, and
then down Somerled (at an Ultramar gas station). The second stop
after turning onto Somerled is at Wilson; get off and walk
½ block down Wilson to #4581.
If you don't like going underground, and happen to be on or near
Cote-des-Neiges but far from Queen Mary:
- hop on the 166 bus north
- after it crosses Decarie Expressway (just after Snowdon Metro),
get off at the second stop (Queen Mary and Clanranald)
- walk 4 blocks west (away from Decarie) to Stratford
- walk south (left) one block to Cote-St-Luc Road; cross it,
and continue another ½ blocks along Wilson Ave to #4581
If you're somewhere along Queen Mary, Éduouard-Montpetit, or
Côte-Ste-Catherine (eg. U de M area):
- hop on the 51 bus west
- after it crosses Decarie Expressway (just after Snowdon Metro),
get off at the fourth stop (Queen Mary and Stratford)
- walk south (left) one block to Cote-St-Luc Road; cross it,
and continue another ½ blocks along Wilson Ave to #4581
